About

Opensourcemusic.org is a website designed to provide access to public domain sheet music to musicians and music lovers alike.  It is additionally focused on providing uninhibited criticism and analysis of concerts and works.

Up until now, most public domain sheet music has been sitting in libraries or scattered across the web and it is our mission to scour it, cull it and then provide the public the access it deserves.

Currently the classical music community is covered by institutions that cover institutions (NYTimes —> NYPhil), our goal is to open up the current, narrow minded view of what should be covered and provide lauds, or condemnation where it is deserved.  If you have a concert that you would like to have reviewed in the NYC area please send an email to elemmon@opensourcemusic.org.
